Roscaragh
combines the traditional and the modern. Communicating
living, dining and kitchen areas and large windows and french doors give views
to the sea from all parts of the house. The centre-piece is the high-ceilinged
living room with windows on three sides, wooden roof trusses and a large stone
fireplace. Look down into the living room from the galleried landing and out to
sea through the glazed roof panels. The floors are of wood, slate or terracotta and the furnishing is comfortable and traditional,
much of it hand-made and painted specifically for this house.
