By car ferry from the UK
  • Swansea to Cork by Fastnet Line. A new boat has been acquired and the operators will re-start the service on 1st March 2010. Normally a 10 hour crossing usually leaving Swansea daily at 9pm during the summer but less frequently out of season. There is only a 2 hour drive from Cork to Roscaragh.
  • Fishguard to Rosslare by Stena Line. Twice a day by conventional ferry, taking 3 hours 30 minutes, and 4 times a day by catamaran, taking 1 hour 50 minutes. Around 5 hours to drive to Roscaragh.
  • Pembroke to Rosslare by Irish Ferries. Twice-daily sailings taking 3 hours 45 minutes. Around 5 hours to drive to Roscaragh.
  • Holyhead to Dublin by Irish Ferries or Stena Line. Each company makes 2 crossings a day by conventional ferry taking around 3 hours. Irish Ferries also operates a catamaran on the route, sailing 3 times a day and taking 1 hour 49 minutes. The drive from Dublin to Roscaragh is about 5 hours.
  • Holyhead to Dun Laoghaire by Stena Line. A 1 hour 40 minute crossing with 3 sailings a day. Around 5 hours to drive to Roscaragh.
  • Liverpool to Dublin by Norfolkline or P & O Ferries. The crossings take around 8 hours and ferries generally sail twice daily. The drive from Dublin to Roscaragh takes about 5 hours.  
  • Liverpool to Belfast by Norfolkline. An 8 hour crossing with daily or twice-daily sailings depending on the day of the week. The drive to Roscaragh is around 7 hours.
  • Stranraer to Belfast by Stena Line. 3 crossings a day by conventional ferry, taking 3 hours 15 minutes, and 5 crossings a day by catamaran, taking 1 hour 45 minutes. The drive to Roscaragh is around 7 hours.
  • Fleetwood to Larne by Stena Line. Up to 3 crossings a day, taking 8 hours. Roscaragh is approximately a 7 hour drive.
  • Cairnryan or Troon to Larne by P & O Ferries. The Cairnryan crossing is 1 hour 45 minutes 8 times a day on conventional ferry and 1 hour twice a day by catamaran. The Troon crossing is 1 hour 50 minutes by catamaran twice a day. Larne is a 7 hour drive, approximately, from Roscaragh.

By car ferry from France
  • Roscoff to Cork by Brittany Ferries. The service is weekly and runs between April and October. Sailings from Roscoff either leave at 10pm on Friday, arriving in Cork at 11am on Saturday, or 10.30am on Saturday, arriving at 10.30pm the same day. Sailings from Cork leave at 5.30pm or 10.30pm on Saturday, arriving Roscoff at 7am or 11am on Sunday. Cork is a 2 hour drive from Roscaragh.
  • Cherbourg to Rosslare by Irish Ferries or Celtic Link Ferries. Sailings vary between once and 4 times a week depending on time of year. The crossing time is around 18 - 19 hours. The drive from Rosslare to Roscaragh is around 5 hours.
  • Roscoff to Rosslare by Irish Ferries. Sailings are generally 3 times a week. The crossing time is around 17 hours. Rosslare is a 5 hour drive from Roscaragh.

  • Kerry airport at Farranfore. This is a small airport between Killarney and Tralee, about 40 minutes from Roscaragh with flights from Dublin, London Stansted, London Luton, Frankfurt Hahn and Grenoble Lyon.
  • Cork. Around 2 hours drive from Roscaragh with flights from most UK and European airports.
  • Shannon. About 3 hours drive from Roscaragh with flights from many UK, European and US cities.
